You know those padding things you put on walls to prevent damage from the doorknob?
Yeah, that's what this is.
Somebody was so angry that they slammed the door open, causing the doorknob to crack the padded circle, and cause extensive damage to the wall itself.
Next time you feel like picking on a freshman, remember this and beware!
