A rant about pets aging.

The family yorkie is 13.
She sometimes sharts herself.
Her breath is atrocious, like a barrel of fish left in the sun for a few days.
You can sneak up on her when you get home and she won't realize you're there until she turns around.
Her eyes are cloudy and she hates being in the dark.

And you know what?
WE FUCKING LOVE HER.
She is our best bud, our partner in crime, our little yappy bitch.

Pets aren't a novelty.
They're a best friend whose shoulder you cry on, and who will in turn lick those tears away.
They are there next to you on the loneliest days.
They share your excitement when things are awesome, and make them even more memorable.
They make you laugh, they make you mad (but never for long) and they enrich your life like nothing else can.

If you disagree with this, maybe a pet isn't right for you... because that is what pet ownership is supposed to be.
It's a relationship, a friendship that you see through to the very end.
It's trust to care for each other forever and always.

If not... get a plush animal, and call it day.

HelloInterloper Loves Bully Breed Rescue!

On September 2nd, I attended a Bully Breed Rescue event at the Country Cow Deli in Fairfield, CT. Not only did I get to see my favorite bully, Drake, but I also donated some new earrings to one of their raffles!

Clockwise: Drake the mush from BBR, me getting up close and personal with an adorable puppy from Animal Nation, and my donated earrings all packed into a bag!

Chilling with Drake!

BBR is an awesome pit-bull rescue based in New Canaan that has adopted out many lovable bullies, and I've been an avid supporter ever since I met Hamilton (now named Hambone) while going to a local restaurant with my boyfriend. I am one of those annoying people who always stop and ask dog owners if I can say hello to their dog... and they were overjoyed to let me meet him! After explaining where they got their pup from, how lovable he is, and how it gets tiring seeing people literally cross the street to avoid their dog, I couldn't help but be intrigued to find out more about this rescue group and their events. (After all, I had worked as a dog washer for over half a year, and was missing working with dogs immensely!) I wasn't scared of pit bulls at this point; my job had showed me that pit bulls were some of the most loving dogs imaginable.

After attending an event in February, I was hooked. There is something hilariously cute about big, tough-looking pups wanting nothing more than to give you a kiss, get a belly rub, and a cuddle! I've been attending their events ever since. This was my first time donating however, and I hope that my earrings can help raise some money for this amazing rescue group!

I even got an Instagram "Thank You" from the Vice Pres of BBR! :)

Some glamour shots of Drake... He's currently up for adoption by the way!

Looking for a bully buddy and live in the CT/NY/MA/NJ/PA/RI/VT area of New England/Tri-State Area? Or maybe just want to find out more about Bully Breed Rescue?

Secret Critter Battlefield in World of Warcraft

I was playing World of Warcraft yesterday, and came across an interesting little place...

...so I just HAD to film it.

It's a field where three different zones meet, and it's apparently a battlefield for... critters.
The prairie dogs of Mulgore, the rats of the Desolace, and the rabbits of Stonetalon Mountains all fight for "dominance" here.
At first they seem like normal critters, but then a few grow in size... and suddenly are wearing armaments of BATTLE.
In the video the rats are currently dominating, and you can see a rabbit and a prairie dog defending their lands as well.

I wonder what other little pieces of hilarity the newest expansion brought?

Animal Research: A Necessary Evil

Don't get me wrong.
I absolutely adore animals.
Fur products creep me out.
Puppy mills are terrible.
Animal abuse is awful.

BUT I am realistic... Animals will never get full rights.

Mr. Toad

Yeah, yeah, I know I've been extremely lazy with updating.
I assure you that once college starts back up, I'll be updating a lot more often... you know, with me being such a procrastinator when it comes to actual work and all.
