If you're a Fantasica player like me, you probably were so excited to get your 8* Tank Ticket from the SBT/Fanta crossover event.
Well, too bad your hopes and dreams are now crushed, because DeNA / Mobage fails YET AGAIN at treating their customers right! (Like I'm going to forget THIS anytime soon...)
Once again I've made your pain a bit easier to cope with by creating a video and a document for you to send to Apple/Google, outlining the issues and providing evidence in favor of a refund.
Keep in mind that this document only requests a refund FOR THE EVENT'S DURATION.
(Let's be honest here, though Fantasica's pay packs are often disappointing, there is no valid reason for a refund until this event specifically.)
HERE IS THE DOCUMENT, FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE!
Best of luck to all of you for the duration of this event and for your refund requests.
POWER TO THE PLAYERS. We keep this game running, and this is no way for DeNA / Mobage to treat us.
where would we send the document to if we used google?
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately they reserve the rights to change event requirements in the rules (if you read the fine print at they very bottom). That they were stupid enough to actually do it is another issue altogether...
ReplyDeleteThey may be allowed to change event requirements at any time during the event, but that's the thing. Even if they may have "updated" it on their facebook page, it remains the same in the actual game. If they don't change it there, I don't think it should actually count.
ReplyDeleteFun fact: if you look at precedent on court cases involving virtual currency and the exchange of virtual goods you will find that their EULA could possibly be dismissed/thrown out as a contract of adhesion. Also, Mobage has been partaking in fraudulent and deceptive trade practices since it's outset...just look at the ads for Step-up packs if you need an example. The Japanese version has actually forced them to publish pull odds due to infringements on gambling regulation. The game has really gone downhill which has caused quite a few players to pursue an all-out-refund for their time spent. One player I know of has been working with a lawyer on this so I'm curious what will become of it...my guess is either A) Class action brought against Mobage for consumer protection law violation. B) Class action against Mobage and/or Google for lack of regulation of a gambling-based app that allows EFT transmission. C) Nothing. Personally, I wouldn't be opposed to being refunded some of the oodles of money that I poured down the drain on this game. I heard about this 8* ticket crossover though. I wonder how many refunds were actually issued?
